LGBTs Give Mixed Response to SC Clarification on Transgender Law
While some welcomed the clarification, others felt it was wrong to view transgenders and others with different prism
The Supreme Court on Thursday refused to modify its 2014 order on transgenders while clarifying that lesbians, gays and bisexuals are not the third gender or transgender.
The LGBT community, however, seemed divided on the clarification. While some thanked the apex court for granting recognition to transgenders, other felt it was not fair to marginalise lesbians, gays and bisexuals.
