Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari, on Monday, rubbished the corruption charges levelled against him by Congress general secretary Digvijaya Singh and said that he has always been given a clean chit as he never favoured anyone while giving tenders.

“Nothing is done in my department without following due process of e-tender. I don’t favour anyone while giving tenders,” Gadkari told the press conference.

My son is not the director in that company. I am not a shareholder of this company and I don’t have any connection. People have been making false allegations against me and nothing has been proved. During the UPA regime itself, I got a clean chit.

Earlier, Digvijaya levelled corruption charges against Gadkari and lodged a complaint in this regard with the Central Vigilance Commissioner KV Chaudhary.
