Rebecca John feels that the Talwars have finally been given justice after a botched investigation and witch hunt in the media.

It’s been nearly 4 years since Rajesh and Nupur Talwar were convicted by a special CBI court of the murder of their daughter Aarushi, and domestic help Hemraj. But today, the Allahabad High Court overturned that conviction and set the Talwars free, in the latest development in a saga that has gripped the nation since 2008.

Senior advocate Rebecca John, who has represented the Talwars from the beginning, expressed her satisfaction at the verdict, and discussed the case in detail with The Quint. You can catch the whole interview below, as we talk about why she had come to believe in the Talwar’s innocence, the botched CBI investigation and the evidence it ignored, and the unfortunate role played by the media in the case.
