Campaigners in the UK Demand New Laws for Pet Monkeys

Campaigners in the UK are signing petitions to ensure expert care of monkeys.

For the last one year three monkeys, Ronnie, Tom and Jerry, have been living in a shelter named Monkey World.

Their caretaker, Robinson built a specialist monkey enclosure for them. However, that wasn’t enough as two of her monkeys died soon after.

She later decided to send the three monkeys to Monkey World to ensure expert care for her pets.

Robinson as a campaigner has signed a petition calling for new laws that provide better care for monkeys kept as pets in the UK.

Since 1987 Monkey World has rescued 100 primates from the British pet trade.
