Though it has had its share of legal trouble and controversies, it looks like director Amar Kaushik’s Bala is set to be a hit. The film, which hit theatres on 8 November, is set in Kanpur and chronicles the story of Balmukund Mishra, played by Ayushmann Khurrana who has tried everything to cure his premature balding. It also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. The film has received positive reviews from critics as well as the public.

After the massive success of Andhadhun, Badhaai Ho and Dream Girl, Ayushmann is set to deliver his next hit. According to trade analysts, if the film does well at the box office, it will be Ayushmann’s 7th consecutive hit. The people who have seen the film are appreciating the film for it’s atypical Bollywood story and strong performances. Ayushmann’s performance as a small-town man dealing with a quirky problem is earning praise from all. Bhumi who plays Latika has garnered a lot of appreciation along with Yami Gautam, who is being lauded for her comic chops.
