The month of Ramzan is celebrated by Muslims across the globe. Followers hold a dawn-to-dusk fast, Roza, which is broken with a sip of water and dates.

However, celebrations in many countries have been affected by the sudden inflation in the prices of dates and other food materials. The countries where the preparations were severely affected are Pakistan, Sudan and Egypt.
