The Indian medallists at the Rio Olympics, PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award on Monday. Gymnast Dipa Karmakar and shooter Jitu Rai were also honoured with the same at the Rashtrapati Bhawan.
Dipa Karmakar’s coach Bishweshwar Nandi was given the Dronacharya Award. The gymnast is very happy to receive her award along with her coach.
The athletes and Dipa’s coach spoke to the media about their respective awards.
