Courage Over Obstacles

Sumit Shekhar

Here are some heart-warming stories of how students overcame challenges to ace the CBSE board exams.

There were challenges along his path as a disabled student, but Sumit’s optimistic parents and younger brother encouraged him to keep working hard. The school Principal and teachers from Lakshmipat SInghania Academy in Kolkata, where Sumit studied, edged him to unearth his true potential and follow his dreams of studying hard and scoring well.

Sumit, who has been in a wheelchair since a very young age, is well on his way to fulfilling the dream of studying computer science by cracking the main JEE exams and next in line is the JEE Advanced. There is nothing that will stop him from doing what it takes to reach his destination.

Like many other students his age, he doesn’t want to be left behind in a career oriented world.

I believe that hard work always pays its dividends. It may take a lot of time to achieve what one wants but a continued effort does take us to our target.
