Xiaomi, a bit late to the party, has launched its open-world game called 'Survival Game,' which is said to rival PUBG Mobile, The Indian Express reported. The game is made available on Xiaomi's Mi Apps store now after being in beta.
The game is, for now, available to download only from the Mi Apps store. It has a file size of 185 MB and has been uploaded on the store by a developer going by the name ‘SuperEdguy’.
The gameplay, according to media reports is also similar to PUBG and Fortnite where players have to jump into the open-world of a spaceship and battle each other out to become the last person standing, while collecting ammunition and supplies on the move.
This game, however, features flight equipments like jetpacks, for players to get a better tactical experience.
Apart from that, there are multiple characters that the players can choose – like seen in PUBG and Fortnite.
However, with both PUBG and Fortnite having already made their mark on the market, the chances of people moving to this game are not very good since the user base that PUBG and Fortnite have gained is massive, there is no way all of them will move to Survival Game – not anytime soon, at least. Even if some people go for the Xiaomi game, there are chances they will not find people to play with.
NDTV reports that the game is “seriously lacking and feels like a first-time school project cobbled together with pre-existing assets without much care.”
