It’s official. The Apple AirPods Pro has made its debut and for those looking to buy this in India, they will have to shell out Rs 24,900 this year.
The company announced the product via press release, and it has also been listed on the Apple website, where it says ‘officially available starting 30 October at $249 (Rs 17,679 approx) in the US but a steeper price tag in India and its availability in the country is not known for now.
Apple has added microphones into the new AirPods Pro that can detect external sound and simultaneously enable the AirPods Pro to cancel the noise. This is the same technology that you get with the new generation Sony and Bose headphones, as well as their wireless earbuds.
It also features a “Transparency Mode” that’ll let you listen to ambient sound while you’re wearing them. The AirPods Pro also come with a sensor that will help you toggle music and activate the Transparency Mode.
There is a feature called “Adaptive EQ” which automatically adjusts the sound and levels of the music according to your ear. Apple has also added water-resistance to the Pods this time around.
It’ll please many users that Apple has decided to add silicone tips to the new AirPods Pro. This will ensure that the wireless earbuds are more secure in the ear and offer a snugly fit. There will be three different sizes of tips included in the box.
Like the previous version, the AirPods Pro also support wireless charging and hands-free commands via Siri.
On the battery front, Apple says that users will be able to get at least 4-5 hours of continuous playtime from the new AirPods, similar to the previous generation AirPods. However, the noise cancellation feature might consume additional juice, forcing you to charge quicker than before.
