Blue Origin, the aerospace company established by Jeff Bezos, successfully conducted the first test flight of its New Shepard space vehicle.

Blue Origin successfully launched and landed a reusable rocket capable of suborbital flight to the edge of space.

The rocket opens up a new dimension not only for space tourism but also space exploration in general.

The BE-3 engine that powers the rocket offers 1,10,000 pounds of thrust. The test took place on November 23 at the company’s launch facility in West Texas, USA.

The company believes that the attempt to cut costs via the use of reusable launch vehicle components will prove to be a key factor in the democratisation of space flight.
