Apple is set to launch the new iPhone or iPhones on 10 September, and the excitement is building around to see what Apple has planned for this year. Amid a lot of speculations and rumours a Chinese website has posted images of devices that look like new iPhones.
Apple hasn’t confirmed how many variants it will be launching at the event, however Chinese blog MyDrivers indicated that the Cupertino-based tech giant is set to roll out three variants of its next flagship.
Apple had recently sent out official invites for its gala event which is scheduled for 10 September.
According to a report in mydrivers.com, Apple is expected to launched two additional colour combinations — Purple and Sea Green.
There are some hardware changes expected in the new iPhone. The company could ditch the 3D touch feature while navigating on the phone. And looks like, Apple is ditching Thumb ID feature, in favour of Face ID for biometric security on all the variants.
The report also says there won't be any changes made to the screen size with 5.8-inch and 6.1-inch as well as 6.5-inch with LCD and OLED display respectively expected to be announced.
The starting price of the 6.1-inch iPhone has been shown as $799 (Rs 57,553 approx.) while the 5.8-inch and the 6.5-inch variants have been shown with price tags of $999 (Rs 71,960) and $1,099 (Rs 79,163).
The new iPhone series is also expected to sport the new A13 chipset and add a USB-Type C port.
The most interesting bit that’s come out of this story is the three lens rear camera setup on the top variant of the iPhone.
The leaked image suggest that a triangular shaped camera setup is being offered with the new Apple flagship and that could be the big game changer for the company.
This year, the company is also expected to launch an update to the iPhone XR which is expected to feature a 3,110mAh battery which is bigger than 2,942mAh battery that the company added in iPhone XR launched in 2018.
But geeks will probably be disappointed to know that iPhones won’t support 5G technology as per the report, with the earliest timeline for iPhone with 5G slated for 2020.
