Tata had showcased the E-Vision sedan at the Geneva International Motors Show 2018. The electric sedan concept is based on Tata’s Alpha platform (stretched to meet the requirements of an electric sedan).

The Quint was at Geneva and got a first-hand look at the Tata E-Vision.

The fake post claims the E-Vision can go 1,000 km on a single charge, but no such specifications were revealed at the motor show. Tata officials said it could do about 450 Km on full charge, as it shares its electric power train with the Jaguar E-Pace (which can do 480 Km on a single charge).

There was no mention of the 10-year warranty that will be provided on the Lithium-ion batteries.

The fake post also mentions the price of the E-Vision sedan as Rs 12 lakh ex-showroom in Delhi. This is false as the car is just a concept, which may go into production after 2020, depending on the uptake of electric cars in India. And even if it does go on sale a price point of Rs 12 lakh is next to impossible given the specifications of the car.
