Cricketer Virat Kohli and wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt took to Twitter to condemn the incident where two men were caught on camera molesting a woman on a street in Bengaluru.

The sportsmen expressed their anger at the crime and stressed on the need to work together to make the country safer for women.

“What happened in Bengaluru is really disturbing. For people to watch and not do anything about it is a cowardly act,” Kohli tweeted.

Expressing anguish over the attack, Olympics bronze medallist Yogeshwar Dutt said: “Until everyone does something about this together, nothing can change”.

Slamming the bystanders in the video, who did not attempt to intervene and help the girl, Dutt said, "if you see someone misbehaving with a girl somewhere, you must ensure they’re punished there and then”.
