The Indian fitness industry has grown tremendously in the last two decades. From personal training to sports and nutrition, general awareness about fitness has increased significantly.
For bodybuilding in India, the national federation is internationally recognised. Bodybuilders from the country have competed in many international events and they represent India with much pride.
Upcoming World Bodybuilding and Physique Championship Event
Under the auspices of World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Federation, the 11th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship and Annual Congress are going to be held on Jeju Island, South Korea, between 5 and 11 November 2019. It is being organised by WBPF/ABBF Korea under the new authority of Chris Yun (President).
The Quint checked with Indian Body Builders Federation and they have confirmed that 45 Indian athletes are representing India in this world event in Korea.
Details Of the Championship
- The Championship will be held at ICC Jeju Convention Centre.
- The registration will be held at the SweetMay Jeju Hotel for all.
- The athletes, officials and supporters will be staying in one of the two hotels, the SweetMay Jeju Hotel or the Value Hotel. Both hotels are within a three-minute walking distance from each other.
- Jeju Airport is nearest to the event destination. Via bus, the airport is an hour away from the event destination.
- Bus service will be made available for the teams to travel from the airport to the hotel. Buses will also run from the hotels to the Convention Centre and back, free of charge.
- Meals will be served at the respective hotels and lunch at the Convention during the Championship.
