‘Foot Fault on Serena Match Point’: Twitter Calls Out Umpire

Serena Williams had fought her way from a set down to take the 2019 Australian Open quarter-final against Karolina Pliskova to a third set.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion was serving for the match at 5-1 when she was called for a foot-fault, and it all went sideways from. Pliskova won six straight games to close the match at 6-4, 4-6, 7-5 — fighting off three match points on her own serve.

Serena Williams knocked out of yet another Grand Slam following yet another suspect call. While this time Serena did not approach the chair umpire or ask for a review, her fans on Twitter was having none of it.
