India’s Rohan Bopanna and his Canadian partner Gabriela Dabrowski crashed out in the quarter-finals (mixed doubles) of the US Open after losing to Hao-Ching Chan (Chinese Taipei) and Michael Venus (New Zealand) in New York on Monday.

The Indo-Canadian pair went down 6-4, 3-6, 8-10 in just 1 hour and 4 minutes. The Bopanna-Dabrowski pair was seeded seventh, while the Chinese Taipei-New Zealand pair is seeded third.

Sania Mirza is the only Indian left in the competition. While the 30-year-old has already crashed out of the mixed doubles draw, Mirza and her partner Shuai Peng (China) will be up against Timea Babos (Hungary) and Andrea Hlavackova (Czech Republic) in the quarter-finals of the women’s doubles draw.
