Rohit Sharma and Mayank Agarwal had a dream run in the first two days of the first Test match against South Africa in VIsakhapatnam.

Both the openers made a 317 runs stand for the first wicket, becoming the third Indian opening pair to stitch together a 300-run partnership in Test cricket.

All eyes were on Rohit before the match started as he was opening the innings for the first time in Test cricket. The whole team management and all the Indian fans wanted him to score well and gain confidence. And he didn’t let them down.

He lost his wicket in the 82nd over of the innings. The whole South African team congratulated him on his performance. As did the Indian dressing room.

In a video posted by the Indian Cricket Team’s official account on Instagram, we can see the whole Indian team management and players standing up to applaud and welcome Rohit into the dressing room.

Also in the video, Virat can be seen standing at the door of the dressing room and holding it open for Rohit. As soon as Rohit entered the dressing room, Virat patted his back and closed the door.

India declared the innings at 502-7. South Africa lost three wickets for 39 runs by the end of the second day of the first Test.
