The Indian Premier League is still a while away, but that doesn’t mean the franchises can’t be at loggerheads already! Mumbai Indians and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday, 13 November, indulged in some Twitter banter over which team has the best all-round trio.
It all started when Mumbai Indians replied to a picture of Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya and Hardik Pandya, posted by the latter on Twitter.
“Find a better all-rounder trio. We will wait,” said three-time IPL champions Mumbai in the tweet.
Sunrisers Hyderabad were quick on their feet, and responded with a picture of Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Shakib Al Hasan, saying “The wait is over”.
But the Mumbai Indians have been never ones to give up on a good fight. The team responded with a picture of their three titles, and said “The wait goes on”.
However, the Chennai Super Kings believe that MS Dhoni himself constitutes the best all-rounder trio.
And well, Hardik Pandya was amused!
The transfer window for the next edition of the Indian Premier League is currently open, and will close on 15 November. Among the big moves so far, Shikhar Dhawan has joined Delhi Daredevils on a trade from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Quinton de Kock on the other hand became the first player to change teams in the window when he was sold by RCB to Mumbai Indians for Rs 2.8 crore. IPL 2019 is scheduled to start on 29 March.
