Mumbai Indians had a wonderful Sunday night as they defeated Kolkata Knight Riders and secured the top of the table spot before the playoffs.

Chasing 134, Mumbai Indians won the game with 9 wickets in hand and 23 balls to spare.

Hardik Pandya was adjudged Man of the Match for his bowling figures of 2/20 in three overs. And as usual, was interviewed at the post-match presentation, in which he said:

“For sure, getting a Man of the Match for my bowling is really pleasing. To be honest as a batsman, there is nothing better than hitting a ball. People don’t expect a lot from my bowling, neither do I, but it feels nice. Krunal was telling me that I generate the power from my hip and core, but I really don’t know where I get my power from.”

However post the game it was one peculiar incident involving the all rounder that caught everyone’s attention.

After having a chat with Pandya on his performance and the game, senior sports commentator Harsha Bhogle failed to oblige Hardik, who had extended his hand for a handshake.

It was only after the game that Bhogle realised what had happened, and took to Twitter to clarify on his part.

“Was good to chat with Hardik Pandya at the post game presentation. I find him very easy to talk to. I had to turn to camera at the end and completely missed his handshake. Hope it didn’t look too odd!”, wrote Bhogle on his Twitter account.
