When it comes to the ‘El Clasico’ of IPL, Mumbai Indians certainly have an edge over their rivals, Chennai Super Kings.
In a total of 27 games against the defending champions, they have won 16 and lost 11. They are also the only team to have not let CSK win against them this season, beating the yellow army in all three encounters this season.
The two will lock horns for one last time this season on Sunday, 12 May in the IPL 2019 final in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.
Just before the game, a letter from a fan went viral. In the letter shared on social media, the fan listed out eight points to get the better of CSK.
Some points mentioned in the letter:-
- MI to field six bowling options and one of them should be South Africa’s Beuran Hendricks.
- A definite plan for Rohit Sharma on how to use Hardik Pandya using him as a bowler Pandya between overs 8-16.
Though it is uncertain whether MI will look into or apply any of these strategies, the CSK official twitter handle didn’t want to leave any stones unturned for D-day.
They shared the letter on Twitter and wrote, “Fan made plan to tackle the #Yellove Brigade tomorrow! Bringing the infor-MI-tion to your notice, Super Coach @SPFleming7! #WhistlePodu.”
Both Mumbai and Chennai have been the most succesful sides in IPL history with three titles each and will be looking to surpass the other by winning a fourth on Sunday.
