Sri Lanka collapsed from 115/1 to 247-all out against Australia at The Oval on Saturday, in what was a dramatic batting collapse from the Lankan Lions.

Chasing 335 for victory, Sri Lanka was placed well at 115/ 1 after 15.3 overs. But after losing their third wicket for 186 in 32.1 overs, it was all downhill for Sri Lanka. They lost their next six wickets for 61 runs.

Experienced batsman Angelo Mathews failed once again as he scored just 9. In his earlier two innings in the competition, Mathews failed to get off the mark.

Sri Lankan skipper Dimuth Karunaratne was the only saving grace as far as Sri Lankan batting was concerned. He scored 97 off 108 deliveries.
