The first semi-final between India and New Zealand in Manchester has currently been interrupted by rain having played a spoilsport in the contest. The match stopped with New Zealand having batted 46.1 overs and scored 211/5.
However, commentators inside the commentary box are having a fun time. In a video posted by Cricket World Cup’s Official Twitter handle, Kumar Sangakkara, Wasim Akram, Graeme Smith and Pommie Mbangwa were seen playing some cricket.
While Akram bowled to Smith and eventually dismissed him, Pommie bowled to former Sri Lankan skipper Kumar Sangakkara. Later, the Sultan of Swing was also dismissed by Sangakkara with a delivery which spun away from him.
While, New Zealand have never won a World Cup, India are eyeing their third.
Meanwhile, the ground staff are trying their best to get the ground ready for the game. The rain is playing hide and seek, and the umpires and match officials are constantly revising the situation.
