This is the fifth instance in this World Cup when the bails did not fall off the groove despite the ball hitting. There was a similar situation in the England vs Bangladesh match on Saturday. Prior to that, the IPL also saw such mishaps, which is very frustrating for the bowling side.
Former cricketer have found these development quite disturbing and took to Twitter to express their dismay.
