Before India and New Zealand wrapped up the T20 series that saw both the men’s and women’s matches being played back-to-back, all players came together for an event in Auckland last week.

Rohit Sharma, Harmanpreet Kaur, Amy Satterthwaite and Kane Williamson took part in a short discussion on stage before Shikhar Dhawan was eventually dragged on stage to share some of his dance moves with the bhangra crew.

India lost the T20 series 2-1 after NZ won the third fixture on Sunday by four runs. The hosts had won the first match by 80 runs while India took the second game by seven wickets. The women’s team also lost the series 2-1 after losing Sunday’s match.

Rohit Sharma had earlier shared his views on having the women’s team play their match right before the men’s game during the T20 series.

“It’s wonderful to have them play before us. It’s always nice because it gets lots of people in. The performances of our women’s team over the last few years have been exceptional. It’s always good to see women’s cricket, in general, getting so much attention.”

When asked if he was able to take time away from cricket and explore New Zealand, Rohit said he had ventured out to shop a few times for his newborn baby girl. The Indian opener’s wife Ritika gave birth to their first child last month when the Test series in Australia was on, and he had flown down to Mumbai to meet the newborn.
