Roger Federer will play with Martina Hingis in the mixed doubles at the 2016 Rio Olympics for Switzerland.

Federer and Hingis played their last game together back in 2001 in the Hopman Cup.

I looked up to her when I was younger, I thought she was the most unbelievable talent. She’s almost my age and she was winning Grand Slams while I was still at the national tennis centre and I couldn’t believe how good she was.

Martina Hingis, who has won five major singles titles, came out of retirement for the second time in 2013 and has enjoyed a lot of success in the doubles and mixed doubles circuit.

She clinched five major titles this year. The 35-year-old won the Wimbledon and US Open with Sania Mirza in doubles and scalped three majors (Australian Open, Wimbledon, US Open) with Leander Paes in the mixed doubles competition.
