Here’s How Maria Sharapova Celebrated Her 29th Birthday
Russian tennis sensation Maria Sharapova dropped a huge bombshell last month when she confessed to having tested positive for banned substances during the Australian Open in January.
Things did not go well for her after the confession, as she was provisionally banned from International tennis by the ITF, and her biggest sponsors, Nike, announced their suspension of relationship with her. Even the United Nations suspended her as their Goodwill Ambassador.
But it seems she did not let this doping scandal hamper her 29th birthday celebrations, as Maria was seen having a blast in the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
Commonly known as Coachella, it is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The origins of the festival goes back to a 1993 concert when Pearl Jam performed at the Empire Polo Club.
And from what it seems on the Russian’s social media accounts, she is totally enjoying her time in Coachella.
She announced her arrival on the 16th by tweeting a picture from the venue.
And then followed it up on Instagram:
Sharapova seems to be enjoying her timeout from tennis and her Twitter and Instagram snapshots are proof.
With time on her hands, she also watched Kobe Bryant’s last match and seems to have taken inspiration from it.
