It is never possible to predict which player fetches the highest bid in the IPL auction. Two un-capped Indian players – Shivam Dube and Varun Chakaravarthy – exceeded all expectations. Starting with a base price of Rs 20 lakh each, Dube was sold to RCB for Rs 5 crore. While Varun Chakaravarthy was sold to Kings XI Punjab for 8.40 crore.
