The 25-year-old also briefly spoke on his suspension from the Indian team over the controversial statements made during a television talk show and said that he has learned from the set-backs and looks forward to "improve" in the future, including the upcoming England World Cup.

Earlier on Monday, Pandya was named in India's 15-member squad that will travel to England & Wales for the World Cup, starting on 30 May.

“It is important to have confidence because the World Cup is a big stage and it is for the first time I am playing. It was important for me to keep hitting the ball well because I was away from the game for sometime.”
