MS Dhoni Misses Only 4th IPL Game for CSK, Raina Captains vs SRH
Chennai Super Kings are playing without their skipper MS Dhoni in the away game against Sunrisers Hyderabad tonight.
In Dhoni’s absence, Suresh Raina was named the stand-in captain and he won the toss, electing to bat first at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
Dhoni was seen playing football with the team before the toss but elected to sit out of the game as a precautionary measure after suffering back spasm during the team’s last outing. Chennai made two changes to their squad with Dhoni and Mitchell Santner being replaced by Sam Billings and Karn Sharma.
On the other hand for SRH, Yusuf Pathan and Shahbaz Nadeem have come in for Abhishek Sharma and Ricky Bhui in the playing eleven.
Dhoni has missed only three matches in his time with the Chennai Super Kings. In his absence, the team won one and lost two of the fixtures.
Dhoni has been in good form for Chennai Super Kings in the 2019 IPL, leading the team's run chart with 230 runs from eight matches, including two fifties.
