Sunrisers Hyderabad finally ended their three -match losing streak as they beat Chennai Super Kings by 6 wickets to notch up their fourth win of the campaign. Fifties from David Warner and Jonny Bairstow saw SRH chase the target easily and win with 19 balls to spare.

Chasing a modest target of 133 to win, the explosive duo of Warner and Bairstow added a 66-run opening stand. Bairstow complemented the left-hander expertly in that phase by giving much of the strike to him and once Warner was dismissed, the Englishman batted through the innings and ensured an important victory for SRH.

Meanwhile the Sunrisers middle order did wobble a bit as they lost skipper Kane Williamson and Vijay Shankar to Imran Tahir.

However, despite those dismissals, Bairstow held his end up and took them to an easy win at the end.

Earlier, MS Dhoni missed the game for CSK due to a back spasm, which he first incurred during Chennai’s last game against Kolkata Knight Riders.

Suresh Raina led the team in his absence as Chennai opted to bat first. Some disciplined bowling from the Sunrisers bowlers meant that the CSK batting line-up without MS Dhoni ended on a below-par total. They managed 132/5 in their 20 overs with Faf Du Plessis (45) top scoring for the Men in Yellow.
