Imran Tahir and Suresh Raina’s top-notch performances helped Chennai Super Kings get one foot into the playoff, as the team beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 5 wickets on Sunday at the Eden Gardens.
Tahir finished with 4/27 to help restrict KKR to 161/8. Then, Raina struck an unbeaten 58 off 42 balls to help CSK cross the finish line.
As the players celebrate their second victory over KKR this season, Twitter applauded the team for yet another win.
In the last five overs, the hosts could muster only 28 runs at the cost of three wickets. Shardul (2/18), who along with Tahir was the other architect of Chennai's choke, removed Shubman Gill (15) and Piyush Chawla (0) in the final over.
