MS Dhoni (32 off 35 balls) took his team to a comfortable victory against Delhi Capitals in the capital on Tuesday (March 26).
Just after CSK got to their second win, a fan managed to breach the security to meet his idol MS Dhoni at the ground. The former Indian skipper who is no stranger to the fan frenzy, encountered yet another such moment on Monday night. Before being escorted by the security guards, the fan managed to get a hug from Dhoni.
This is the third time in 2019 that an MS Dhoni fan breached the security to meet their star. First instance was in Wellington in New Zealand. The second time such a thing happened was during the second ODI against Australia in Nagpur, where Dhoni made the fan run behind him before finally hugging him.
Meanwhile, Chennai were disciplined in their game throughout the contest not allowing Delhi to get into the game at all. Delhi finished with a below-par total, after they won the toss, which was easily chased down by CSK.
Apart from Shikhar Dhawan (51 off 47 balls) no one really got off to a start. While Prithvi Shaw looked good by threw away his wicket at 24, Rishabh Pant failed to get going this time around, scoring only 25.
The Chennai chase was given the solidity by Shane Watson (44 off 26 balls) and Suresh Raina (30 off 16 balls). In the end MS Dhoni remained unbeaten to finish it off for CSK with his cool and calm demenour.
While Chennai host Rajasthan next in Chennai on March 31, Delhi travel to Mohali to face Punjab on April 1.
