Dhoni becomes the first player in the world to reach 9,000 ODI runs with an average of 50+

India beat New Zealand by seven wickets in the third One-day International at Mohali to take a 2-1 lead in the five match series.

Dhoni’s feat of taking 244 innings to reach 9,000 runs is the sixth quickest in ODIs and Twitter was full of praise for the Indian skipper.

He’s become the first player in the world to reach 9,000 ODI runs with an average of 50+
