First, let’s welcome the BCCI to our world.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the Indian Test team for the tour of Sri Lanka next month... using VINE!

Now back to business, and as expected, the selection committee chose to go with backups in the spin department - along with R Ashwin, Harbhajan Singh has been retained after the one-off Test against Bangladesh and Amit Mishra has earned a recall after four years.

Amit Mishra was always in the scheme of things. Last year also he was in reserves. The final XI though is decided by the captain. Pragyan was discussed but only 15 players can be selected. Looking at the conditions we have given preference to Mishra.
