Twitter Lauds Mayank Agarwal for Double Century Against Bangladesh

Mayank Agarwal scored a massive 243 runs for India in the first innings of the ongoing Test match between India and Bangladesh. This was his second double-century in his last eight outings.

The opener scored 93 more runs than the entire Bangladesh team and has set India on course to set a massive total for Bangladesh to chase in the second innings.

Twitter has been buzzing with Agarwal’s dominant display in the opening match of their two-match series.

Journalist Shekhar Gupta commended Agarwal’s desire and hunger on Twitter.

Cricket analyst and commentator Harsha Bhogle spoke about how Agarwal has probably cemented his place in the Indian cricket. “Great example of how to cement your place. Having toiled for so long, Mayank Agarwal is making his opportunity, and form, count. This is a classy double.“

Former cricketer and now analyst Sanjay Manjrekar spoke about the parallels between former Indian batsman Virender Sehwag and Mayank Agarwal. “When I set eyes on Mayank Agarwal the first time, it was during the under 19 WC in NZ, he looked a little replica of Virender Sehwag. Today he got to his 200 in true Sehwag style!
