Karnataka’s opening batsman Mayank Agarwal, who finished as the highest run scorer in Ranji Trophy 2017-18 with 1,160 runs, is set to play the Vijay Hazare Trophy final against Saurashtra in Delhi on Tuesday. Agarwal is also the highest scorer in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with 633 runs in 7 matches at an average of 90.42.
While speaking to The Quint, the 27-year-old said that he is very happy to play any format of the game.

Agarwal, who recorded a pair in his second Ranji Trophy match against Hyderabad last season, spoke about how he changed his mindset for the next game against Maharashtra.
From there it was more of a mind shift. I thought there is nothing worse that could happen from there on. It has to be upwards and onwards from here. Even then I didn’t let the negativity to creep in. It was also nice to have Vinay Kumar and KL Rahul at that time. And Ronit More my roommate, walked up to me and said that this could happen to any player. From there on, things just turned around and it was fabulous after that.Mayank Agarwal
Mayank Agarwal went on to score a triple century against Maharashtra.
Once I got the triple hundred against Maharashtra, the only thing going on in my mind was that when you get set and you’re getting runs, you have to make sure to make them count. You have to be very grateful and very honest to what you’re doing and keep doing the same things.Mayank Agarwal
