England’s middle-order batsman Jonny Bairstow had to deal with an injury scare ahead of the first Test against South Africa at Lord’s on Wednesday.

While Bairstow was training in the nets, it was none other than Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar who hit Bairstow’s foot with a yorker, according to Mail Online.

The Englishman hopped out of the nets after taking on just one ball from Arjun.

This is not the first time that the left-arm fast bowler has practiced with the English team. Whenever Sachin and his family visit their property in London, near the Lord’s cricket ground, Arjun attends a few practice sessions in the stadium.

After Bairstow left the nets, his left foot was put in a compression unit for some time, during which the pain was eased off.

However, the 27-year-old managed just 10 runs on day 1 of the first Test against South Africa on Thursday.
