Playing in his 200th ODI, Kohli hit 121 runs off 125 balls. The Indian innings revolved around its captain thanks to a disciplined bowling effort from New Zealand. He reached his century off 111 balls, a knock that included seven fours and a six.

Virat Kohli’s ton moved him past Australia’s Ricky Ponting, who scored 30 ODI centuries in his career. Only India great Sachin Tendulkar with 49 is now ahead of Kohli in the list.
