  • India have won six successive Tests since August 2019 - two vs West Indies; three vs South Africa and one vs Bangladesh.  Only once previously, they had won six in a row - under MS Dhoni's captaincy - four vs Australia and two vs two vs West Indies in 2013.
  • India have won eight and drawn two out of ten Tests played against Bangladesh - winning % 80.00.
  • Under Virat Kohli, India have won ten Tests by an innings' margin - the most by an Indian captain, bettering the nine under MS Dhoni.
  • For the third time, India have won three successive Tests by an innings - in 1992-93; in 1993-94 and in 2019-20.
  • Since posting an unbeaten 219 vs Zimbabwe at Dhaka in November 2018, Mushfiqur Rahim has posted his first fifty during the last one year.
  • Mohammed Shami's bowling average (15.22), strike rate (34.0) and economy rate (2.68) while claiming 31 wickets in seven Tests this year are exceptionally good.
  • Shami's excellent bowling figures of 7 for 58 (3/27 + 4/31) are his second best in a Test match next only to the 9 for 118 vs West Indies at Kolkata in November 2013.
  • Mayank Agarwal got his first Man of the Match award in Tests.
  • Mayank (243) became the sixth Indian batsman to outscore the opposition (Bangladesh) (150 & 213) in each innings.

  • Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Mushfiqur Rahim were associated in a stand of 59 - Bangladesh's fifth partnership of 50-plus against India for the seventh wicket. Their only century stand for this wicket-position against India is 108 between Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim at Chhatogram in January 2010.
