Back from a well-deserved break, Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli has decided to get into the groove for the upcoming Sri Lanka series, by playing in the second four-day ‘Test’ against Australia ‘A’ in Chennai from July 28-31.

When Sandeep Patil was asked as to who will lead the side, the chairman said, “Cheteshwar Pujara is the designated captain and he will lead the side.”

Kohli, who was rested for the tour of Zimbabwe, made the request to play in the fixture to get proper match practise, with the Chepauk pitch being pretty similar to Sri Lankan wickets.

India’s tour of Sri Lanka starts with a tour match on the 6th of August, followed by three Tests.
