Day 3 of the 2018 Asian Games see archer Deepika Kumari and gymnast Dipa Karmakar start their campaigns.
After missing out on the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast due to a knee injury, Dipa returned to competitions at the World Challenge Cup in Turkey and bagged a gold. There are more medal hopes for India on Day 3 of the Asian Games. After winning a silver in the Men’s Trap event, Lakshay will today team up with Shreyasi Singhin the Trap mixed team event.
Just the one wrestler left to compete in Indonesia now and it’s going to be Divya Kakran who’s up against Sharkhuu Tumentsetseg in the quarter-final of the women’s freestyle 68 kg category event. The final of the event will be held later in the day as well.
India’s star archer Deepika Kumari will be in action in the Recurve Women’s Team event. The Indian women’s hockey team, who thrashed Indonesia 8-0, will take on Kazakhstan in a Pool B match on Tuesday.
