Asiad Day 14 Schedule: India vs Pak in Hockey, Boxer Amit in Final
Amit Panghal will be in action in men’s 49kg boxing final against Dusmatov of Uzbekistan at 12:30 pm IST.
The Indian fans will be in for a treat as India and Pakistan renew rivalry on the hockey field on the penultimate day of the Asian Games as Indian men’s hockey team take on their Pakistani counterparts on Saturday, 1 September.
The bronze medal clash will begin at 4 pm IST, with India seeking redemption after their semi-final upset at the hands of Malaysia.
There are several gold medal events lined up on Saturday as India will look for a late flourish in the finishing stages of the Asian Games.

The day starts with men’s and women’s canoe/kayak finals where India will be competing in the finals of two separate events.
Joshna Chinappa & Co will be vying for gold in the team event of women’s squash from 1:30pm.
The men’s finals begin at 7:30 am IST where as the women’s team event commences at 10 am IST.
It is a big day for India in bridge at the Asian Games as around six teams from India will be competing in their respective finals from 8:30 am onwards.
Later in the day, Amit Panghal, India’s lone survivor in boxing, competes in his men’s 49kg final against Rio gold medallist Dusmatov of Uzbekistan at 12:30 pm IST.
Bajrang Pardeshi will look to qualify into the finals of his men's 10m platform diving which will take place 7:40 pm IST.
