Indian music composer AR Rahman who has mesmerised many with his tunes, wrote an encouraging letter to the Indian contingent, competing at the Rio Olympics this August.

The academy award winning musician who agreed to be the Goodwill Ambassador of the Indian Olympic contingent in May, joining Sachin Tendulkar, Abhinav Bindra and Salman Khan, encouraged the athletes to be “persistent and consistent and to never give up”.

Earlier this month, AR Rahman collaborated with Virat Kohli for a theme song called Naam Hai Futsal for the Premier Futsal, a league of the modified form of soccer played with five players on a smaller ground.
