It’s not an everyday affair that a cricketer, that too one with a stature like that of Ravindra Jadeja takes on the Internet and accepts the toughest fielding challenges from people across the country!
It all started when Castrol Cricket tweeted out a challenge with the hashtag #ClingOnJadeja asking fans to test Jadeja’s on-field prowess. As the number of challenges started pouring in, Jadeja was a sport to take each one of them head - on.
Watch this video to witness how Jadeja Clings On to Protect just like Castrol Activ’s Actibonds Cling On to Protect your bike engine. He once again proved his mettle and with him on this incredible task was none other than the renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle.

Jadeja Catching Balls From THREE Bowling Machines
So, when Harsha announced the first challenge where Jadeja had to catch all the balls thrown at him by a bowling machine, Jadeja thought it was pretty easy-peasy-lemony-squeezy. But then, it turned out that there was not one but THREE different bowling machines handled by a 'special guest.' "Jaddu" had to cling on to each ball coming his way from different angles in 30 seconds! You must watch the show his focus and reflexes put up for this challenge!
Jadeja Acing The Obstacle Course
Being a taught taskmaster, Harsha combined a few challenges and turned them into one complete obstacle course. Jadeja was to run through the obstacles, stop the ball at the boundary, catch it and hit directly at the stumps - all under 15 seconds! And guess what, Sir Ravindra Jadeja finished all that in 14:15 seconds! *gasping for breath*
Jadeja Breaking Bulbs With Direct Hits
Being an experienced fielder, Jadeja always hits the target regardless of the angle from which the ball is thrown. Just watch how he blows up a series of bulbs attached to a wall oriented at different angles with a cricket ball. After the first 5 failed attempts, Jadeja hits it off and breaks the next five bulbs without a miss.
Jadeja VS The Tennis Player
Bhogle took it a notch higher when he asked Jadeja to play “Tennis”. This one involved an experienced Tennis player throwing cricket balls to Jadeja across the tennis court who then had to field the balls and save them from going out of the tennis court. He passed this challenge with flying colours and was able to #ClingOn to the ball each time just as Castrol Active’s Actibonds cling to your bike engine and give protection even when the engine is off.
We are once again in complete awe of Ravindra Jadeja. He is not called 'Sir' for no reason!
