My Report – The Quint’s citizen journalism platform – seeks to engage and build a space for exchange of ideas. The process is simple: we'll give you a question, and you have to respond with an essay.

Why should I participate?
Ever wanted to speak your mind and win money for it? This is the right opportunity. Participants who write the best English and Hindi language essays will win a cash prize of Rs 10,000 each. Top ten essays will also get a certificate of merit from The Quint.

How do I register?
Fill in your details and pay the entry fee of Rs 100 (incl. of GST). Submit your entry, and voila, you’re done.

What should I do if my entry fee transaction fails to process?
The Quint has tied up with Razorpay as our payment gateway partner. In the unlikely event of a payment failure, please email your details to myreport@thequint.com
If the amount is deducted but it's not reflecting on the screen, don't worry, it will be refunded. -
What are the guidelines I need to follow?
• Stick to the word limit: Essays within 500 words will be accepted.
• Credit external sources: Back your facts with links, media/academic reports for references. -
Can I submit multiple entries?
Absolutely. You can submit as many essays as you wish (Rs 100 will be charged for every submission).

What language can I write in?
We accept both English and Hindi language essays.

Who will judge the debate?
A senior editor from The Quint and two veteran journalists will judge the entries. Read profiles

What are the parameters of judgement?
The focus will be on three key elements – originality of view, clarity of thought, and quality of writing.

Where will my entry be published?
The top ten entries will be published on The Quint and Quint Hindi websites, and shared across our social media platforms.

Anything important to keep in mind while participating?
Quintillion Media Private Limited has a strict policy against plagiarised content. Your essay will go through stringent checks, and if the content is found to be plagiarised, you will be disqualified. The defaulting participant will be individually responsible for any plagiarised content and Quintillion Media Private Limited will in no way be responsible for the same. By agreeing to participate in the competition you are agreeing to abide by the general terms and conditions of Quintillion Media Private Limited.
