26-year-old Rajesh Orang joined the Indian Army in the second year of college, in 2015.
Native of Belgaria village in Birbhum in West Bengal, Orang was the sole earning member of the family.
He is survived by his ailing father, mother and two sisters, the elder of whom recently got married.
He last visited his family eight months ago and was supposed to visit them again in May, but the plan got canceled due to the lockdown.
