PM Modi Takes a Dig at Congress in Jalandhar Rally
Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in Jalandhar, on Friday. Taking a dig at Congress, he said:
One can’t understand the Congress Party’s strategy. In West Bengal, they suddenly formed an alliance with CPM, a party which they couldn’t meet eye to eye with for fifty years. But the hunger for power was such that, they formed an alliance. In UP, they spoke against the SP and when they realised that the people are still not accepting them, they formed an alliance with SP. No principles, no rules, they are ready to do whatever to save themselves. Do people of Punjab want to trust this sinking ship?
“People are trying to malign the image of Punjab’s youth”, he said adding that they should be punished severely.
If you want to do politics then do it for people’s well being and not pleasure. Look at Parkash Singh Badal. He’s been a leader for so long, but neither did he change his party nor heart.
PM Modi said that while the Congress let the OROP issue remain stagnant the BJP government resolved it.

Captain Amarinder Singh to be Congress' Face
Rahul Gandhi named Captain Amarinder Singh to be Congress' Chief Ministerial face in the impending state elections. He appealed to the people to vote for Singh and make him the Punjab CM.
Rahul Addresses Rally in Majitha
In a rally in Punjab’s Majitha region, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi slammed the Badals’ ‘family monopoly’ in the state. The Badals have a hegemony in every industry, from transport to television, he said.
He said that he spoke about the drug menace of the state a few years ago but was silenced. Now, the entire state is talking about how 70 percent of the youth has fallen prey to drugs, he added. He promised that the Congress will have a strong law against drugs in the state if they win the elections.
