NSRCEL joins Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women programme in India

New Delhi, Oct 24 (PTI) NSRCEL, a part of IIM-Bangalore, said Wednesday it has become an academic partner of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women programme in India and will expand the initiative to reach more women entrepreneurs in the country.

The 10,000 Women is a global initiative that fosters economic growth by providing women entrepreneurs around the world with a business and management education, mentoring and networking, and access to capital.

The initiative has already reached more than 10,000 women from 56 countries to date, partnering with more than 30 business schools and 100 academic and non-profit partners.

* Cerebra Green Wednesday said it has recovered over 10 metric tonnes of e-waste from seven cities during its 'India Clean-up Week' campaign.

The campaign, organised between October 13-19, was conducted in association with Manufacturers Association of Information and Technology (MAIT), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change (MOEFCC) and 'Digital India' to raise awareness around proper and safe disposal of electronic waste.

"The devices donated during the drive mostly included printers, monitors, old mobile phones, cables, TVs, refrigerators and laptops across cities," a statement said.

High level Vietnamese delegation in Delhi for trade talks with TPCI

* A high level Vietnamese delegation from Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development would meet the team of Trade Promotion Council of India (TPCI) here Wednesday to discuss avenues to enhance bilateral trade between the countries.

The Vietnamese ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau will be present in the meeting, the commerce ministry said in a statement.

"Vietnamese and TPCI delegations will discuss business opportunities and future cooperation between India and Vietnam as well as ways and means to promote Indusfood in Vietnam," it said.

Mars Wrigley Confectionery Wednesday announced to introduce Doublemint Chewy Mints in India to widen its presence in the freshness category.

"The launch of Doublemint Chewy Mints is a significant milestone in our journey in India.... We are confident that Chewy Mints is relevant to Indian consumers and are hopeful the product will be well received by them," Yogesh Tewari, marketing director, Mars Wrigley Confectionery.
