The Ayodhya dispute began in 1949 and stretched upto 2019, and calling the case complex would be an understatement.

Finally on Saturday, 9 November, the long-drawn litigation finally got its closure as the Supreme Court pronounced its verdict directing that the Hindus will get the disputed land subject to conditions.

The inner courtyard, the five judge SC-bench said, will be handed over to a Centre-led Trust, and a suitable plot of land measuring 5 acres shall be given to the Sunni Waqf Board.
